8 Things a Broken Collarbone Has Taught Me

Woman walking on sidewalk, sport shoes close-up

Have you ever tripped over something? I bet you have. But have you ever tripped over something while on your routine run at 8 pm on a sunny Summer evening? Was that unexpected trip so fast that you didn’t even realize you fell until you were flat on the ground? Did you then get up as fast as you fell so that no one would notice what just happened? But wait, there’s more.

No Impossible

Pushing rock up hill showing hard work

Has it been a bit harder for you as of late? Maybe it’s a bit tougher with work, family, finances, or some simple ailment you’d love to quickly pass by. Those are just a few of the many things that can make us feel drained.

Or, maybe it’s been one huge ordeal. Perhaps someone you love is going through some major illness. Either way, we know a smile can be a bit harder to see in our own mirror, feeling we can’t do what’s needed on our own.

I’ve been a bit overflowing with different things on my ‘Must Do’ list lately. A goal has been staring me in the face, making me feel a bit more drained day after day. Nothing that will decide the rest of my life, thankfully, but a few this-and that’s that have been rather wearing. A bit too much feeling like I’ve been staring at a giant.

I had to keep telling myself that, even though things haven’t been going picture perfect with my attempts, I still believe God is somehow going to show He’s there. I know the silence will end. But when? But How?

Thankfully, a few incredibly helpful means popped up that turned my worry into WHOO HOO ! A few different problems got solved in the blink of an eye a few days ago! Thank You God began filling my thoughts, right along with the words Oh, what a relief!

That next morning I was running more joy-filled then resent past runs because of what God had me discover the day before. On my way back home, this song showed up on my i-pod. It sure stood out, because it reminded me, again, that my Lord had been with me throughout this entire project.

I now want to encourage you to believe that, if you trust God, there is no war He can’t win. No wall He won’t break through. Things often feel too much for you and me, from smaller to major projects or problems. He knows the battles you and I feel we are going through; small, huge, or in between. He’s there. Things may seem impossible for us, but you and I must remember … there is no impossible with God.

Red question mark behind human body thinking

We all have our set of personal problems with which we must deal with. Why? Why have we all had moments in our live that have occurred that we wish had not? We wish the reasons for our harsh Whys did not exist.
