Looking at the Past Because of the Present -#2

Sometimes God decides to throw us way up high having us wonder where and when we will land. We have no idea at the time what to expect. Or we might think we do, but soon find out we were wrong. Limitations and losses can shake up our sense of who we are, what’s important and what we feel we have to offer.

Let’s continuing looking back at past posts about my brain affected illness called encephalitis I had years ago.

Why?

I wish I was one who could say I feel like dancing, smiling ear to ear, as each day goes by. But honestly, as of late, some days I don’t even feel like walking. I’ve been finding myself thinking
‘Are you sure about this, Lord? It sure doesn’t seem what happened to my callorbone six weeks ago exactly fits into a comfortable plan I prefer.’

Looking at the Past Because of the Present – #2

I bet you’ve had something take place fairly recently that got you to think of a certain time period that took place in your past.
A few weeks back I shared how that had happened to me when I had fallen during my routine run. Because of that fall, I now know that collarbone is one word. Also, if you fall just right, the collarbone can break up into two or, like in my case, more than two places. I bet you are like me, wishing you didn’t have to learn facts such as these the hard way.

Looking at The Past Because of The Present – #1

In my last writing, I shared that I’ll be looking back at a few past posts for a few weeks. The main reason is to show why thinking of my past makes the trial I’m currently going through a bit easier to deal with. But, I’ll be honest. There is one more reason. It’s because what did take place last week – collarbone surgery – has kept me from typing away in my office as much as I’d like.

8 Things a Broken Collarbone Has Taught Me

Woman walking on sidewalk, sport shoes close-up

Have you ever tripped over something? I bet you have. But have you ever tripped over something while on your routine run at 8 pm on a sunny Summer evening? Was that unexpected trip so fast that you didn’t even realize you fell until you were flat on the ground? Did you then get up as fast as you fell so that no one would notice what just happened? But wait, there’s more.

Whatever I’ll Be Called

Woman-thinking-what-Grandmother-name-to-have

Who should I blame for this note I’m sharing with all of you? Who should I blame for all the hours I’ve put into writing a short book that I’m now offering for free?

I could explain what got me into writing this short book, and why writing it had me thank God again and again and again.

I could explain how I’ve started a news letter and I’m eager to find more I can connect with.

I could explain why you will see one of those small and often irritating signs slide onto the screen tempting you will read it. (Don’t ignore it. You many actually WANT to click this one.)

But instead, I’ll just share how I have smiled many times while writing this book because of who this book is about. Let the photo up top give a clue who that person is. (No, It’s not just about me.)

I’m also taking this opportunity to tell you this book is an epilogue to my first book, God and My Pillow. This free book here – Whatever I’ll Be Called – closes with the explanation as to why it connects with my first story.
