Sing a Song – Song #31

Time for my last song in October’s Song-a-Day fun I’ve enjoyed putting together.

This last song I chose is Sing a Song. Perfect, don’t you think? “What should the lost song be,” I thought to myself, “Sing a Song! Perfect! I should go find that old CD. Hmm, where did I put it?”

Here are a few quotes on music.

“One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.” ― Bob Marley

“Where words leave off, music begins.” ― Heinrich Heine

“Where words fail, music speaks.” ― Hans Christian Andersen

“And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.”  ― Friedrich Nietzsche

I often have fun making my own middle name being I was not given one. If I was forced to write one down, I’d be tempted to write Marianne Sing-A-Song Petersen. Like I shared in my first few postings, songs can mean so much to me. If they have the perfect words that hit home, held by the perfect music, I’d then, like this song says, sing-a-long.

If you ever find a fifty-Something year old woman in her car, or jogging down a street with her ever-so needed i-pod, obviously showing she’s listening to a song, you’re most likely looking at yours truly.

I’ve enjoyed this project of sharing songs. I’ll end with one suggestion – Have fun singing to your perfect songs. Make your middle name Sing-a-Song, and, as the song says, don’t worry that it’s not good enough for anyone else to hear. Just sing, sing your song.

  1. I commented on your day one post, so it makes sense I comment on your last one. Your song sharing has special significance for me. In 2012 I started a blog. I had no intention of doing that.. I had no intention of writing. But every morning i woke up with a song in my head. It was always a Christian song of some type. I got up and wrote something that just seem to flow out of me, like I had to write it out. I rarely missed a day. Then a few years ago, I started writing personal letters and messages to several people each day. I never wake up with a song anymore. In writing so many personal messages I have stopped blogging. God has been speaking to me about sharing encouragement through blogging again. I intend to get back to it again. In fact, I have a page all ready to keep going on the 31 day prompts. Thanks for sharing songs. It’s another affirmation from God.

  2. Thank you for passing this note my way after my last song. It’s people just like you I’ve been doing it for.
I’m glad to have encouraged you because you sure have encouraged me. Makes me want to go find a song that can describe a smily face . . . mine. 🙂
God bless you as you sure have me.
