I’d like you to look back. Look at all the things you didn’t think you would be able to get through. But then look at how you did make it through, coming out stronger than you were at the beginning of the trial.
It took me a while to truly see He didn’t give me the extra tough times I’ve gone through to just have me give up and quit. I know now He had reasons for giving me each and every trial. Sure, I knew He was going to help me through it even though I didn’t really see how. I just know I, as we all do during tough times, wanted Him to just step in and save the day.
Three important words – I’m with you.
Remember those three words when no other words seem to be heard. But more so, remember who’s telling you those three words. Remember that even when it feels as though our Lord has abandoned you, if you’re one of His, He’s right there. Use the trials in your life to grow in faith. And you know what? He’ll show you He’s actually there, thus you’ll grow closer to Him which causes your faith to grow even more. One of those great snow ball effects.
God has already lined up ways to eventually let you know He’s been there the entire time, as my story has shown that to me. So let’s make sure we keep raising our hands, praising our God who gives. . . and takes away.
One reason I hold strongly to this truth is that He proved it to me, as my memoir shows.
